Fay Townsend

Transforming Handz Natural Hair Studio

I am a Healthy Hair Care Specialist, Master Loctician. I realized I loved hairstyling at a very young age. My passion grew out of the necessity to help other girls in my community who needed assistance with their natural hair. Working with clients has brought such satisfaction to me. In particular, I enjoy watching my clients get excited when I achieved the desired hairstyles that not only look good but make them feel good about themselves. I consider myself a “hair counselor,” in that, no matter how a client feels when they come to see me, my aim is to work so that their confidence is lifted and their self-esteem enlarged. I want my clients to feel important, celebrated and special. I want my clients to feel good in their own natural hairstyles and absolutely love it! Being a natural hairstylist is an art, one that affects the mind, body, and spirit. I invite you to see for yourself

Kenya Yellock

Joyce Fletcher's Hair Salon LLC

Kenya started her hair journey at the tender age of 12. She experimented with her mother’s leftover box hair color and started cutting her own hair. By the 9th grade, Kenya worked afterschool at her cousin’s hair salon, called Black Hair Atlanta. She answered the phone, scheduled appointments, swept up hair, ran errands, shampooed and styled hair. By Spring of 1996, Kenya became a licensed Master Cosmetologist in the state North Carolina. Two years later, she opened Tripp’s Contemporary Design. In 2001, she closed her salon down and moved back to Georgia. Kenya was searching for a new career path, away from the hair field. She graduated from Sanford Brown College’s Medical Assistant program in 2003. This lead her right back into the hair field. Kenya began working as a Surgical Hair Tech for MHR. The Hair Replacement field has allowed Kenya to travel all over the United States. She has worked with multiple private doctors, clinics as well as large corporations. In 2009, when the market crashed, Kenya was no longer needed as an Independent Surgical Hair Tech. She went back to her first love and opened Joyce Fletcher’s Hair Salon LLC. Kenya is currently a licensed Master Cosmetologist for the state of North Carolina, Georgia and South Carolina.
